Kärla Basic School is the biggest rural basic school in Saaremaa with 121 students and 19 teachers. The school has ten forms: first through ninth form and one small form for special needs students. A social pedagogue, special education teacher/speech therapist are employed as supportive specialist. The educational technologist instructs teachers on digital education practices.
